Katarzyna Wroniak is a contemporary abstract painter living and working in Warsaw, Poland.
Before art became central to her life, she spent over two decades working internationally in commercial real estate. Today, painting is at the centre of her practice — bringing together intuition, observation, and the discipline shaped by her previous career.
She works primarily with oil on linen, developing a distinctive visual language through organic and biomorphic forms.
Why I Paint
Painting, for me, is a way of discovering rather than explaining.
I am drawn to what appears before it can be fully understood — to the moment when a form begins to exist without yet having a name.
I want my paintings to remain open, allowing each viewer to encounter them through their own perception, intuition, and experience.
The Practice
I begin each painting without a predetermined composition, allowing it to develop through observation and response.
Working primarily with oil on linen, I build layers from which organic and biomorphic forms gradually emerge.
My current body of work, Inner Landscapes, explores perception, emergence, and the space between what is visible and what is sensed.
